What we talk about

We discuss the publishers that are going and the events that are planned for the 2014 EB Expo scheduled for 3-5 October in Sydney. The list of Expo attendees include Activision, Electronic Arts, Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox.

We also get into the unstoppable juggernaut that is Minecraft and the pros and cons of playing the game on PC versus Consoles, this comes after the news that Sony would offer a boxed retail version of the game after strong digital sales. Sony have also announced that their new line of Bravia 4K Ultra HD sets will have the streaming PlayStation Now service baked in.

Finally, World of Darkness from EVE Online developer CCP Games has been cancelled. Also, we discuss the shock firing of Bungie’s Halo composer Martin O’Donnell and get pretty excited about the Civilisation: Beyond Earth trailer.

We Play Games Too

We’ve been known to play games occasionally. This week Kochie is in a holding pattern for Trials: Fusion and the oft-discussed Dark Souls 2 for PC.

Brendan has been super busy and hasn’t had time to indulge his favourite hobby, but promises that he’ll put his weekend to good use and try and play some games. He is excited about the single-player expansion for Hearthstone, the Curse of Naxxramas.

Finally, I have been playing the latest episode of The Wolf Among Us in which the stakes get raised.
