Fans of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will have to wait a little bit longer as CD Projekt RED and Bandai Namco have mentioned that the title will be delayed by a couple of months.
The title will now release on 19 May 2015. The CD Projekt Red board have explained that the delay is due to “the sheer size and complexity of The Witcher, key features of the title, have had a decisive impact on production”. The board have also apologised to fans, saying “We set the release date too hastily. It’s a hard lesson, one to take to heart for the future”.
We know what we want to do to make Wild Hunt one of the best RPGs you will ever play. And we continue to work hard to achieve just that. So, we apologize and ask for your trust.
While it’s initially disappointing to see titles delayed, it’s always great to see a developer take the time they need so they can deliver a quality product. We have faith that the team at CD Projekt Red will live up to the expectations from fans of The Witcher series.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
