Blizzard have announced that Metallica will be the music act to close out this year’s BlizzCon.
CEO and Co-Founder of Blizzard, Mike Morhaime mentioned that “We’re thrilled to have Metallica blowing out our speakers at BlizzCon this year” and that “after two full days of epic gaming and intense eSports action, an earth-shaking concert is the perfect send-off for everyone at the show and watching from home.”
BlizzCon is Blizzard’s flagship convention which celebrates the global player communities surrounding the Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft game universes. The show will feature a wide array of activities for attendees, including discussion panels, tournaments, contests, hands-on play time with Blizzard’s latest titles, and more.
This year’s BlizzCon will take place from 8 – 9 November at the Anaheim Convention Centre. Although tickets to the event have sold out, viewers at home can watch the live coverage of the event as well as the performance from Metallica via the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket for $43.95 AUD.
