Mass Effect: Andromeda Pushed Back to 2017

Mass Effect Andromeda BannerBioware has confirmed the recent rumours floating around the internet regarding the release date of Mass Effect: Andromeda. In a blog post on the Mass Effect website, General Manager Aaryn Flynn discussed the current direction the game is taking and the reasons behind this delay.

We also know we need the right amount of time to make sure we deliver everything the game can be and should be – that’s our commitment from all of us to all of you. Because of that, Mass Effect: Andromeda will now ship in early 2017.

There has been limited information on the indirect sequel since EA originally teased it at their E3 conference in 2015. Bioware has promised to bring a bigger universe made for the free roaming explorer along with the graphic potential of the Frostbite 3 engine. We’ll see how much more information comes to life at the EA PLAY press conference on June 12.
