Rocksteady are set to close their acclaimed Arkham series when Batman: Arkham Knight arrives on Xbox One, PS4 and PC later this year. Details of the video game were posted by UK retailer GAME with an October, 14 release date and then later removed.
The EB Games website confirms the trailer’s pre-order bonus, which lets you play as Harley Quinn for the first time.
Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment’s press release details the game’s story:
In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city that he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise.
IGN.com have a theory that the real villain maybe Dr Thomas Elliot aka serial killer Hush, who had a brief cameo in the Batman: Arkham City game.
