Assassin’s Creed Unity Announced, Video Revealed

Ubisoft have announced the next Assassin’s Creed title to the popular franchise, titled Assassin’s Creed Unity.

The game was revealed today through a sneak peek trailer, demonstrating in-game footage from an alpha build. The footage, as well as the French quote “Qu’ils mangent de la brioche” (which translates to “Let them eat cake”) signifies that the setting is likely to be in Paris during the 18th century. Ubisoft state that Assassin’s Creed Unity has been in development for over three years and will be exclusive to next-gen platforms.

We have been working on the new Assassin’s Creed for more than three years. Although we weren’t quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand. Here’s a true first look at in-game footage from Assassin’s Creed Unity. Stay tuned – we’ll have many more exciting details for you in the months ahead.

Assassin’s Creed Unity is slated to release during the holiday season of 2014. More information on Assassin’s Creed can be found from the official site.
