PS Vita TV Revealed

Along with the revised PS Vita, Sony has revealed a new entertainment system, called the PS Vita TV.

Sony mention that the PS Vita TV will allow users to stream movies and video services, including Hulu, while also featuring the capability to play PS Vita games directly on a TV. Games can be played on a PS Vita TV by using a DualShock 3 controller. PS Vita TV essentially retains much of the functionality seen in its handheld console counterpart, with email, web browsing, access to the PlayStation Store and party chat as standard features.

The PS Vita TV can also be used to connect to a PlayStation 4 via remote play, along with the use of the DualShock 4 controller, although these features will be supported at a later time.

PS Vita TV will release in Japan on 14 November 2013. We’ll keep you up to date if it comes to Australia.
