Oculus Rift will be at PAX Australia

The Oculus Rift will be making an appearance at PAX Australia, with attendees being able to play with the new device.

The team from VR Insanity have announced they will be setting up four interconnected Oculus Rift Virtual Reality Stations, featuring a range of Rift enabled games and demos throughout the three days of PAX. While there will be many games that can be played on the day, a few titles that are confirmed to be playable are:

  •  – Team Fortress 2
  •  – The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
  •  – Mirror’s Edge

Although the device is limited to development kits so far, Oculus Rift has become incredibly popular since its announcement at E3 in 2012, with the Kickstarter project following shortly after. The head-mounted display has been endorsed by a number of high-level industry members such as Gabe Newell of Valve, Markus Persson of Mojang and DayZ lead designer Dean Hall.

Oculus Rift can be played over the three days at VR Insanity’s PAX booth #1032. A release date for the consumer version of the Oculus Rift is yet to be announced.
