Titanfall Release Date, Collectors Edition Announced

If, like me, you’ve been closely following information relating to Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall, then you would have seen this morning that the game will hit Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on 13 March 2014 for Australia. In addition to the release date, Respawn also revealed the Titanfall Collector’s Edition (exclusive to EB Games for $399.95), and will include an exclusive collectible 18-inch hand-crafted titan statue with diorama and battery-powered LED lighting, a full-size art book that features more than 190 pages of rare concept art as well as an exclusive full-size schematic poster of the Atlas titan.

“Since we revealed the game in June we’ve been absolutely blown away by the reaction to Titanfall,” said Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella. “The feedback we’re getting from fans around the world is fuelling our team as we head towards March and motivating us to deliver an experience that lives up to the hype.”

I’ve personally never been a fan of the Call of Duty games, but Respawn (which includes a few ex-Infinity Ward members) seem to be showcasing an amazing title. I want this game pretty badly and now even more with this statuette, it will find a nice home alongside my Halo Reach diorama, Halo 3 Legendary Helmet and all my other figurines and statues! Get your pre-order on ASAP!
