Scalebound Has Been Officially Cancelled

In a sudden turn of events, Microsoft Studios and Platinum Games (known for games like Bayonetta) have decided to cancel the development of Scalebound and go their separate ways. The cancellation was announced on the Scalebound Twitter account which had been quiet regarding the development of the game since August 2016.

After being officially announced during Microsoft’s 2014 E3 press conference, Scalebound was a highly anticipated release for the Xbox One console. It was set to be an RPG with 4-player co-op, fast combat and an in-depth story where players formed bonds with massive dragons. Our hopes to have our hands on the game were dampened as the dragon-based RPG was delayed back in January 2016 before going mostly silent over the last year.
