Scalebound Delayed Until 2017

Today, Platinum Games announced that their upcoming Xbox One exclusive game Scalebound will be pushed back to release in 2017. While originally set to be one of the most anticipated new IP’s of 2016, the developers have released an update stating that while the development is going well, they require more time to complete the game.

“In order to deliver on our ambitious vision and ensure that Scalebound lives up to expectations, we will be launching the game in 2017. This will give us the time needed to bring to life all the innovative features and thrilling gameplay experiences that we have planned.” – Hideki Kamiya, JP Kellams, Atsushi Inaba, and the Scalebound Team

Platinum Games plans to release more news surrounding Scalebound throughout the year and hopes that its fans can wait patiently until the full game can be released.

Scalebound was officially announced during Microsoft’s 2014 E3 press conference and gameplay was also later shown at Gamescom 2015.
