Razer Announces Raptor Monitor and Blade 15 with RTX

CES has kicked off for 2019 and Razer have announced two new products at the show.

First is the Razer Raptor, a 27″ gaming monitor with a 2560 x 1440 IPS panel and a 144Hz refresh rate. Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan mentioned that “Razer has worked alongside partners in the past to bring the Razer experience to monitors, but the full potential was never fully realized”.

We have decided to tackle this space on our own and are very excited to expand our presence to include desktop displays.

The design of the Razer Raptor incorporates 2.3mm thin bezels and also features AMD FreeSync, along with 1ms Motion Blur reduction.

While the model shown at CES is an early design prototype, production models are due to release later this year. Razer have listed the price at $699.99 USD and we’ll provide local release details once we hear more info.

Following the Razer Raptor announcement is the updated lineup of Blade 15 Advanced Model laptops with NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics.

While the Razer Blade 15 continues to use the Core i7 8750H CPU, the GPU lineup will now feature the RTX 2060 (6 GB GDDR6), RTX 2070 (8 GB GDDR6), or the RTX 2080 (8 GB GDDR6) as options to choose from.

The updated Razer Blade 15 will be available later this year starting from $2299 USD. We’ll let you know once we hear more info on a local release and pricing.
