The Player2 Charity Marathon Kicks Off This Weekend

To raise money for a great cause, our friends over at Player2.net.au will be getting together to play games for 24 hours straight. During the event The Player2 crew will be joined by various supporters, Australian Video Games media and a few special guests to help encourage people to donate. Guests include the charity founder and ex Australian Rugby League player Terry Campese and current Kiwi international and Canberra Raiders try scoring machine Jordan Rapana. These two will be competing with both local and online players in a range of video games for the entertainment and merriment of the event’s Twitch stream.

To further encourage Australia’s gamers to give generously, Player2 has over $8000 dollars in prizes to give away during the event. These prizes include video games, merchandise and tickets to Rugby League World Cup fixtures. These prizes have been donated by generous Australian Video Games PR companies, giving individuals and Terry himself.

The event starts at 10am AEST on the 26th of August and will run through to 10am on the 27th. The entire event will be broadcast on the Player2 Twitch Channel and further information can be found on the Player2 Website. We hope you will join them on the day and help them achieve their goal of $2500 raised for this great cause. If you can’t make it and would like to donate, head over to the donation page and contribute what you can.
