Capcom always teases every western Monster Hunter fan with long waits between the releases of their games, but sometimes they actually pull through.
While there is still a wait involved, Capcom have announced that Monster Hunter Ultimate 4 (MH4G in Japan) is currently in development for the 3DS, to be released to the western world.
In Capcom’s announcement video, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto promised “the biggest leap forward ever for the series”. Tsujimoto also confirmed that MH4 Ultimate will support online play in addition to local play seen in the previous games.
While this excites all Monster Hunter fans (myself included), we’ll have to wait until 2015 before anything will be in our happy, hunting hands. At point of writing, only a 3DS title has been announced but hopefully there will be at least a Wii U port. Mainly because Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate looked amazing and was awesome to play on the big screen.
