Foxtel Play Arrives on PS3, Coming Soon to PS4

Sony Computer Entertainment Australia and Foxtel have announced that the Foxtel Play service has launched on the PlayStation 3.

Managing Director for Sony Computer Entertainment Australia, Michael Ephraim mentions that Foxtel Play “is a fantastic addition to our suite of entertainment services, one that all the family can enjoy.”

“Whether it’s music, TV, movies or games, PlayStation fans love all forms of digital entertainment and we remain committed to delivering the most immersive digital entertainment experiences on our platforms through PlayStation Network”.

Foxtel Play allows customers with a broadband connection to watch a range of drama, entertainment, documentary and movie channels that Foxtel offers (via a $25 minimum monthly subscription, depending on the packages selected). The launch of Foxtel Play on PlayStation 3 also arrives in time for users who want to watch Season 4 of Game of Thrones, premiering on 7 April.

Chief Operating Officer of Foxtel, Rohan Lund says “We’re thrilled to continue our drive to expand availability of Foxtel Play for Australian subscribers. With the addition of PS3, that expansion just got a massive boost for the 2 million Australians already enjoying great digital experiences on their PlayStation 3 consoles. Today that experience gets even better.”
