Death Stranding Release Date and Trailer Revealed

Sony have revealed the release date of Death Stranding, along with a new trailer.

Releasing on 8th November 2019, the game centres around Sam Bridges, where he is assigned to re-establish connections with the whole of a broken society to ultimately save mankind.

Posted on the PlayStation Blog, game creator, Hideo Kojima explains further about the game, mentioning that “Death Stranding is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the ‘Strand’ or connection”.

“As Sam Porter Bridges, you will attempt to bridge the divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or ‘Strands’ with other players around the globe. Through your experience playing the game, I hope you’ll come to understand the true importance of forging connections with others.”

Death Stranding is now available to pre-order for PS4, with the game coming in four editions – Standard ($99.95 AUD), Special ($119.95 AUD), Digital Deluxe ($114.95 AUD) and Collector’s ($289.95 AUD). More information on each edition can be found on the PlayStation Blog.
