The Powerwave Controller Phone Mount is a rather straightforward accessory for any mobile gamer wanting to use a console controller as part of their mobile gaming experience, with versions to suit PS4 and Xbox One controllers available. For our coverage, we were provided with a PS4 controller phone mount.
The mount simply clips around the centre of the controller, with an adjustable bracket to suit practically any smartphone. I was amazed with how the mount was able to both fit and support my iPhone XS Max without having to remove the phone from its case. The Powerwave Controller Phone Mount also has an adjustable hinge to change the viewing angle of the phone. Although the whole setup was top-heavy due to the weight of the phone, there was no loss of comfort while using the controller.
With iOS 13 and Android Pie both supporting console controllers natively, it is going to be a common sight to see controllers as a complementary peripheral alongside smartphones. All-in-all, the Powerwave Controller Phone Mount is a simple, yet very practical accessory for any mobile gamer looking for a value-for-money solution.
