To wrap up the third day of E3 conference’s we have another heavy hitter in the form of Sony. While there might not be anything similar to the Xbox One X releasing from Microsoft, there’s still a plethora of games on offer this year. There were a few announcements in the Playstation pre-show that you might have missed but we’ve got all the information right here. Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy
The Crash Bandicoot remastered trilogy is coming to Playstation 4 and it’s coming very soon. The trailer shows some updated graphics and some much cleaner gameplay.

Knack 2
A launch title for the Playstation 4 is now getting a sequel in the form of Knack 2.

Playstation PlayLink
Sony seems to be picking up the party play style games and have introduced PlayLink. It’s a system that use everyone’s phone like the Jack Box party pack. Coming soon, exclusive to Playstation 4

A unique VR e-sports handball type game from CCP Games. Players can compete against their friends or find challengers via online matchmaking.

Undertale on PS4 + Vita
It was quickly announced prior to the Sony conference that Undertale was making its way over the PS4. It has now also be completely localised in Japan and will now have a physical, collectors edition release.

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom
On to the bigger releases now and Ni No Kuni has received it’s first sequel. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom recounts the story of Evan, a deposed king and his journey to build his own kingdom and unite the entire world!

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
Naughty Dog’s only offering this E3 is in the form of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. In order to find an ancient Indian artifact, Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross must venture deep into the Western Ghats mountains, discover the lost cities of the Hoysala Empire, and face a ruthless warmonger, Asav. From the looks of the trailer this game is looking very pretty with a witty sense of humour, much like Uncharted 4.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds (DLC)

From the looks of the teaser trailer, The Frozen Wilds appears to be set post the events of the original game but that doesn’t diminish from the experience. There was know exact release date from the trailer except for the year 2017 so at least that is confirmed.
Days Gone
Another full section of gameplay from Days Gone, this time developing the story between a few of the main characters. There were a lot of QTE’s throughout the game and unfortunately that doesn’t make for good gameplay. Pressing X to not die is a painful process to endure for an extended period of time. Nothing really exciting to go with this game in our opinion but it may entice some players. There was some horde gameplay, stealth elements and a Zombie Bear but no release date has been announced yet.
Monster Hunter: World
This is something completely new to the Monster Hunter series which is a game release on the major consoles (and PC) AND it being localised to Western audiences. This game is looking mighty pretty, even when compared to things like the Chinese release of Monster Hunter Online. It also looks like that have added some extra features to the game including a grapple hook, monster chases and what looks like drop in drop out gameplay. Kochie is insanely hyped for this one and said he has been waiting for this game to be released for almost 10 years.

Shadow of the Colossus Remake
A legend returns to the Playstation 4 in the form of Shadow of the Colossus. The trailer speaks for itself in terms of quality but this is looking amazing. The original games debuted back in 2005.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite
Marvel vs Capcom returns once again, now with Thanos as a playable character and a new villain to take down. Some flashy graphics and quick team combos is just what is needed to make this game worthwhile and it sure looks like it’s going to deliver. In addition to the below release date, there is a Story demo out today!

Call of Duty WWII
Now complete with a Multiplayer reveal trailer, Call of Duty: WWII is looking amazing. It might be the first Call of Duty game we might actually play for an extended period of time. The gameplay is fast paced and the gun-play looks pretty brutal to boot. The new Divisions feature redefines how players invest in their MP career, giving them the chance to choose from five divisions, each with their own specialized training and weapons skills.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR
In comes the VR section so for people with weak stomach, look away now! Bethesda appears to be expanding its VR titles even further by putting Skyrim on another platform. Unfortunately, even the trailer looks rough as hell and we think a lot of people might have problems trying to play this game and fight effectively. With so many platforms to play Skyrim on, this won’t be a popular one.

Star Child
For some reason this is a VR game? For a 2d adventure sidescroller we are unsure why there is VR tied to it but maybe there is more information later this year because this announcement didn’t tell us much. There was also no release date for Star Child.
The Inpatient
Another game from the Until Dawn Developers SuperMassive, this time in a VR environment. There was also no release date for The Inpatient but it is exclusive to Playstation VR.
Monster of the Deep: FFXV
We have no words for this. Just watch the trailer and have a laugh or two.

Bravo Team
The most generic name for a shooting game ever goes to Bravo Team. Looks to be a VR, cover based shooting also by Supermassive who have definitely been hard at work. There was no release date for Bravo Team but it’s exclusive to Playstation VR.
Moss
Moving from the hardcore to the casual we have Moss, a cute exploration game staring an adorable mouse. The VR art of this game allows you to move objects around to allow the mouse to continue moving through each level. Moss is continuing the trend of not having a release date and it’s also exclusive to PSVR.
God of War
Arguably the most anticipated game in the Sony conference, we get some more information on God of War. Combat is a little slower but it feels a lot meatier and brutal which is a nice change.

Detroit: Become Human
There’s word of an Android uprising in the city of Detroit and the third playable character Marcus (played by Jesse Williams from the TV show Grey’s Anatomy) is trying to do everything he can to make it happen. There appears to be multiple options in every situation which allows for a lot of replay ability. The only question is if it will actually make a difference to the story and if the gameplay is enough to drive the interesting story forward. We are still waiting for a release to be confirmed but our interest is definitely piqued.
Destiny 2
There was some timed exclusive (until at least Fall 2018) content coming to the Playstation version of the game like a new ship, special PVP map, new weapons and some extra gear.

Spider-man
Sony capped off their show with an extended gameplay trailer for Spiderman. There was a mix of stealthy takedowns, Batman Arkham City style fight sequences, mini-boss battles and a ton QTE’s throughout the cutscenes. The problems arise with this game if the QTE’s are auto fails (much like Days Gone) but if the story adapts to the failures then it looks like a pretty good reboot to the series and a welcomed sight.

OMG THERE’S MONSTER HUNTER: WORLD COMING TO CONSOLES AND PC! Nothing else matters to me. On a more serious note there was no Bloodborne 2 and no mention of Last Of Us 2 throughout the Sony conference. While it was understandable that Naughty Dog are working on Uncharted it would be nice to have more Bloodborne. Audio syncing issues were quite prominent amongst the conference streams which was a bit of a downer and made things difficult to keep track of. There were some good titles announced coming in 2018 but unfortunately it was a little bit underwhelming overall.
The final results of day 3 are in and we didn’t do well at all in prediction what Sony would come up with (10/25). A lot of new games didn’t get announced that we were mainly just dreaming of but there were plenty of technical difficulties between all the streams available. That’s five conferences down and with only Nintendo left, we are almost finished with E3 2017. The last conference will be at 2am AEST, use our handy guide to get all the details!
