As the release of Fallout 4 draws near, gamers around the world prepare to abandon their real lives and accept their new life in the Fallout universe. Bethesda have been kind enough to let us know prior to release whether or not our PC’s will be able to run this mammoth game. Let’s take a look at the specs.

Minimum

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 30 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent

Recommended

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 30 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent

Those are some decent recommended specifications to the point where my PC only just makes it. For everyone playing Fallout 4 on console you will need to set aside up to 35gb worth of space.

To the lucky people who pre-ordered the Pip-Boy edition, Bethesda has also released details on the smart phone compatibility. The Pip-Boy included will have foam inserts that fit iPhone 6/6s, iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 4/4S, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S4, and Samsung Galaxy S3. In addition, using the customisable foam insert you should be able to fit most other popular smartphone devices.

Fallout 4 will be unleashed on November 10, at 12:01am local time. For more information regarding the Pip-Boy smartphone app, language options and modding, check out the Bethesda Blog.
